Stormy
Weather
Dark storm clouds wait to unload their gift
of water.
We need the rain, but dread the storms of life.
But above the purple-gray atmosphere the sun is shining.
And at last all clouds will be forever past for those in
Christ.
Thank you, Lord, for the needed storms and
for the rain.
Through my pain I see You work.
I know your supply.
Trust
Why worry,
why fret,
why stew?
As though I had no good shepherd,
Who will lead me through
Every trial and heartache
Until I stand before You
Dressed in Your righteousness
Washed by Your blood
Fit to dwell above
In the land of the blessed.

Hope
Let life's storms blow as they will.
I am at rest in Christ still.
He makes me triumph over death.
His life is mine when I breathe my last
breath.
When I must say "goodbye" to each dear
friend,
I know in Jesus life is without end.
We will meet again in that bright land.
And there we will walk hand in hand.
Praising the One Who died that we might
live.
Eternal life He wants to give.
It is a free gift to those who call on Jesus' name.
Yesterday, today and forever He is always the
same.

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he
seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of
heaven. Job 22:14
The
Promise
Against a deep gray sky
sunlight illumines intertwined arms
of pine trees,
reaching upward to grasp the light.
Gentle drops of rainfall
on the asphalt ribbon leading
to the lake beyond.
Black pavement glows as if made of gold.
Foretelling heaven's roads.
Then we see it faintly shimmering
in the sky ahead . . .
A rainbow -- promise of God's faithful care.
Its multi-hued arc radiates promise.
A beacon in the air --
A silent witness of unending love.
Job 26:8 He bindeth up the waters
in his thick clouds; and the cloud
is not rent under them.
Job 35:5 Look unto the heavens,
and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
Job 36:28 Which the clouds do
drop and distil upon man abundantly.
Job 36:29 Also can any understand
the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his
tabernacle?
Job 36:32 With clouds he covereth
the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that
cometh betwixt.
Job 37:16 Dost thou know the
balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is
perfect in knowledge?
Job 37:21 And now men see not the
bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and
cleanseth them.
Job 38:34 Canst thou lift up thy
voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover
thee?
Job 38:37 Who can number the
clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven.
Ps 18:11 He made darkness his
secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and
thick clouds of the skies.
Ps 18:12 At the brightness that
was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals
of fire.
Ps 36:5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in
the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Ps 57:10 For thy mercy is great
unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
